I have to say that I enjoyed the author’s dedication. I’ve never seen a dedication to a nemesis before. I’d love to know who Rachel is!
This was a nice, fast paced excerpt. We meet a group of teenagers, one of them is Leon. Leon gets a text from the girl he has a crush on. He finds it surprising that Sven texted because he never gave her his number. But he’s just so happy about it that he goes to meet her….and then disappears. I found it interesting that we got Leon’s perspective. We know he dropped his phone after getting startled and that some creature met up with him. I definitely felt the adrenaline.
