Sue's advice is gold- all you need to get published
I first met Sue at a writer's conference in NYC several years ago. Actually, I didn't meet her (because I was a brand new "writer" and didn't dare to introduce myself), but I did hear her speak and knew immediately I had to get in touch with her after the conference was through.
So I did. She was offering her well-known essay course and agreed to let me do it long-distance. I wrote the essays, snail mailed them to her and she would edit/provide feedback and return. My first piece sold almost immediately (to a site that is no longer in biz), but my next three pieces were a hit with the Washington Post.
In reading just the excerpt from this book, I've been reminded of of tidbits of information that help even after a few years of publishing under my belt. I cannot wait until the release date so I can immerse myself further into her brilliance. Will be recommending this to anyone who is itching for a byline.
