I like the way it steers the reader into different possible styles and subjects for articles, as well as discussing different sorts of outlets.
I think all of it is really interesting, but I do like the numerous examples of complete short pieces that people have written, since those give one ideas of what sort of pieces one could write, as well as being intrinsically interesting.
This is published by Writer's Digest Books, which is cool. I haven't read an issue for a while now, but it's always very interesting. I think a lot of the advice in the magazine, and in this book, is sort of a dream, because most people, including myself, will not follow most of the advice, but that's really up to the reader!
