Excellent book if you have the desire to be a successful writer
I will be honest here - I won this book on BookishFirst, but did not mean to enter the contest for it! Whoops.
That being said, the author has a beautiful and comical way with words. Her writing, in my opinion, is extremely motivating and engaging. For that reason, I am giving this book 4 stars.
I do not personally have the desire to become a writer, published or otherwise. But I do think that Shapiro gives concrete, solid recommendations and suggestions for avenues to pursue if this is something the reader is intending to accomplish. Again, because I do not have a familiarity with the art of being a writer, I have to rely solely on my "reader's opinion" to review.
Overall, great writing.
