The Brilliant Death was so good, I loved how the unique the setting and the characters were. The magic use in the book was so unique and creative. The main character Theo, turns people into stationary objects, I mean how cool is that.
Upon her father falling seriously ill, Theo wishes to protect her younger brother Luca, and take on the role as the family representative ( which has to be a boy) by magically transforming her self into a boy. This book focuses on shapeshifting an gender bending. If your a fan of fantasy definitely give this book a try. This book was so dark and unique, and full of romance. I hope there is another book after this one, and I will be definitely buying a finished copy of this book when it come out.
