I was really disappointed with this read. The plot sounded so interesting and I was so excited to read it but it just did not work. First, the writing was very well done and I loved the atmosphere the book gave. The influence of Italian mob was very present and it worked. You could really feel the family bond that was described in the book.
However, that's where the book kind of stopped for me. I really didn't like the plot so much nor the characters. While there were parts I enjoyed, I personally didn't connect with them. I do think this story will touch many people out there and connect with them, I just felt bored for most of it. A lot of it seemed to repeat to me and just felt slow. This was one I couldn't really get into.
