Looking forward to reading the rest!
The cover of the book is what first drew me to this book. When I read the first couple of lines I almost stopped because I am usually not a big fan of mafia books. But as I continued to read the synopsis I started to become more and more interested and knew immediately I had to read this book.
First of all, being set in Italy was almost guaranteed way to get me to read this book because I have always wanted to go there. Then to have the author say that the magic system is straight out of a Miyazaki film? Miyazaki films are some of my all time favourite and if it is anything like Spirited Away then I will be in love.
The magic system, the stregas are unique and interesting. I am looking forward to finding out more about them and the magic system altogether. I also can't wait to read about Teo explore her own powers and see them as more than just a tool to reap destruction. Plus I automatically like her because of her storytelling ability.
I am eagerly anticipating the romance between Cielo and Teo. I feel like there is going to be a lot of tension between them as they go on this journey and I am totally here for that!
