This was my first fantasy novel. It was absolutely incredicble. Teodora di Sangro is pretty much my idol. She is a strega from a very powerful family. When her father is poisoned her and her younger brother Luca set out to answer the Capo and hopefully find the antidote to the poison. Poor Luca is attacked by their older brother Beniamo, who Teo had turned into an owl because he was caught torchering Luca. Luca ended uo dying from the attack, which left Teo to go on without him. She befriends a fellow strega named Cielo. He can transform between a boy and girl, as well as the wind, a bird and a mouse. They have a very cute and intense romance throughout the book. That was probably my favorite part of this book. The relationship between Teo and Cielo was fantastic. I could not put this book down. I loved every single page of it.
