For anyone who is a fan of stories where a heroine disguises herself as a boy in order to get fair treatment, take part in something that is reserved for men only, or escape, this should move to the top of the TBR pile.
I also enjoyed the fact that this novel confronted the difficulty of passing with one of the characters completely dismissing the idea of a disguise out of hand. But, in this world there is magic and another character seems to shift between genders as easily as donning and shedding a cloak.
