A beautifully written fantasy with enchanting characters with a magical fairy-tale like plot...sign me up. What a creative and imaginative way to deal with an adversary. I was immediately drawn to the characters and find the implementation of a gender shifting romantic interest ingenious. I love that the author was inspired by Italian folklore and history to create this fascinating YA fantasy novel and I can't wait to read more.
