Oh my goodness! This book was amazing. I liked this book because it was set in a historical time period, and I am a well known history buff. History has always been so interesting for me to learn, so I was so excited to read a story of something that I had previously never even heard of.
I happen to have once lived in Kentucky, so it was amazing to learn more about the state that I love and the history behind it.
There’s two facets of this story- the Kentucky Packhorse Project and the tale of the blue skinned people that lived in the state of Kentucky.
The cover of the book is beautiful as well, and I love how the title of it really draws you in. Once you’re reading the book, it does not disappoint! This is probably one of the best history based books I have read to date! You can really feel for the character as she faces the prejudice of the time and place.
