First of all I really like the cover of this book, I think it sets the right tone for the story and gave me a clear picture of what I would be reading about. While I enjoyed the plot and I thought the writing was good for some reason I finished the book feeling a little meh and I'm not at all sure why!
Don't get me wrong, I really did enjoy this one and I do recommend it to books lovers who love books about books and those who enjoy a good historical fiction. I learned a lot about the women who held these positions (the book even made me do some Googling after because I wanted to learn more!) and I found the characters really interesting. The plot moved fairly fast and I wanted to know how it would end.
