Cussy is a fascinating character, not only for her unique blue color, but also for her determination to bring books to the poor patrons who rely on her and her mobile library. Tenaciously returning to her beloved job after a disastrous marriage, makes her all the more endearing. The author's writing quickly allows you to envision the surroundings, people and challenges in Cussy's world and this First Look leaves me wanting a longer visit.
