I am always attracted to a book by its cover. If I like the cover, I usually like the book. This book is no exception -- nice cover, interesting excerpt!!
I am originally from North Carolina and always enjoy reading about people from the Appalachian Mountains. I always like strong, assertive women characters. This book fits both categories.
I am a member of four book discussion groups and always like sharing new books I hear about and like. This book fits both of this category also.
Last, but certainly not least, I am a librarian. I used to work in a small town library and part of the joy of the job was recommending good books to people. This looks like it would be a book I would recommend.
