The book's cover is really cute and many people will love and relate to this story.
However, there are a few issues with the plot and writing that are just not to my personal taste.
I understand the dialect used is reflective of location and status. However, I would expect a true "book woman" to have at least a little better grammar than her non-book man father. Also, in the spirit of "show don't tell", I am not sure why the love for reading needed to be directly mentioned quite so many times.
Again, the above nitpicks are only my own and I am sure I will be in the minority with my opinion.
