A Unique Historical Fiction story based on true events

As a librarian, the subject matter of this new novel by Kim Michele Richardson has already been on my radar, and even though I don't normally read a lot of historical fiction, this one is a #mustread. The cover is very eye-catching and colorful; and the blue background seems symbolic of the blue-skinned people of Kentucky that I had never hear of before reading about this book.
