At first I thought this was going to be a historical fiction novel about a woman who had found a way to make her own way in the world but of course has to face challenges. Then I got to the part where she is blue! This really caught my attention and I had to keep reading. Her father wants her to marry but if she marries she can't keep her job as the book woman, delivering books to people in the mountains. Her father keeps lighting candles until he finds her a suitor. The men keep rejecting her because of her looks until one doesn't. Intriguing first couple of chapters.
