Thank you to Bookishfirst and Gallery publisher for this ARC. What a wonderful magical book not only about books but about a small town called Dove Town and all their residents who are family, one way or another, through birth or just friends who are like family.
I love how the characters all intertwine with each other and how Grace, her niece and her foster mother Mama G eventually fall in love with this small town though she knows she doesn't want to stay and move back to the big city of Charlotte, NC. They live in Mama's G's cousins house after Mama G is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and feel that she would be more comfortable in a town she loved growing up in.
It is also about Sarah Dove, the town's librarian and how books speak to her and how she knows what books to give to people needing them -- which to me is the magical part.
