This was a really great read. It was heartwarming and I really enjoyed the characters. Sarah Dove hears books. She is from one of the founding families in Dove Pond. One book in particular wants her to save the town. The only problem is that Sarah has no idea how to do that. Grace is another important character to this story. She is a foster kid who has had a hard life. Now she is facing several challenges in her life including taking care of her niece and her adopted mother who now has Alzheimer's. The characters in this novel really envelop you in their lives. I wanted to know what would happen with Grace and her neighbor. Would Sarah get her way in her quest to save the town? This is the perfect beach read, it is light but you really feel yourself drawn to this story.
