Amusing, emotional, mystical, touching.
This story begins with two sisters, the family has special gifts. The Dove family has a long history in this one particular town and the two sisters slowly learn about their gifts, family history, and acceptance of the foster parents.
The story slowly builds on a detailed history. Each chapter covered by Grace or Sarah. The concept of books communicating with Sarah at a young age was fun to read. Creatively written in away that kept my attention, until Grace came into the story and it fell short for me. The character's seemed to drag after Sarah. It was emotionally sad to read about the fostering adoptive family aspect so I was a litte put off by that too. Overall the story's written well, with a unique concept that I would reccomend to read.
