The Book Charmer was a delightful little romance with a bit of magic.
The book focuses around two characters. The first is Sarah Dove, the local librarian. She is not your ordinary girl as it would seem she has the ability to talk to the books gleaning such information as who the book should go to next or even giving her a glimpse of the future such as telling her about the arrival of city girl Grace and how she will save the town.
The second character is, of course Grace. Grace had to leave her well paying job and city life to take care of her sisters daughter and her foster mother whose health is failing. Grace moves her family to Dove Pond where she starts off a bit standoffish with the townspeople but eventually embraces the town and it's people and a certain good looking neighbor. And she takes on the challenge of saving the town.
This is a charming story of community, friendship, learning to ask and receive help and love.
I enjoyed the book and easily gave it a 3 star review. I would love to bear more about Sarah in book 2!
