I have always loved a book that's about books, and while The Book Charmer is about so much more than that, it's books that help to guide the characters. Sarah is her town's librarian and books have always talked to her. They let her know who the perfect person is for them or who is in dire need of that book. When Grace comes to town, she is not happy to be there and does not want any interaction with the townspeople unless it is required for her work. But a book has made it clear to Sarah that Grace could be the one thing that ends up saving the small town. Eventually, Sarah and the other quirky townspeople wear Grace down and even get her to join in in helping raise money to save the town. And then, Grace not only becomes a part of the town, she becomes even more. I just loved this book. It was warm and fuzzy, and made me contemplate how I see others. I cannot wait to read the sequel!
