I really enjoyed the taster of this book.
Learning about Sarah's childhood discovery that books would speak to her sparked enough intrigue in me to wonder how that would affect her future life.
The introduction to Grace, Hannah and Mama G was sympathetic enough that I wanted the best for Grace but somehow know that she might be her own worst enemy.
Dove Pond comes across as a suitably eccentric setting for the meeting of these characters and how their interactions might develop into an engaging story.
After this brief intro I definitely wanted to read more and already felt invested in Grace's life.
