At first glance, The Book Charmer is a delightfully quirky story with the ingredients for a perfect spring/summer read: a sprinkle of magical realism, a dash of Southern charm, a pinch of female camaraderie, and a hint of mystery. I've enjoyed the first few chapters so far, and I hope the book continues to remain sweet (but not to a point of becoming saccharine).
