Loved the cover and from the get-go the writing of Karen Hawkins. Grace puts her life on hold when her sister, Hannah passes away leaving her young daughter, Daisy, without a parent. She also realizes Mama G, Grace’s and Hannah’s foster mother, has Alzheimer’s. Grace gives up her lucrative job to return to Mama G’s hometown of Doce Pond to provide a nurturing environment for both Hannah and Mama G. I can’t wait to see what happens to these three as they settle in to Dove Pond. The author’s writing is lyrical and I want to see what happens!
