Karen Hawkins perfectly puts my feelings about books from a young age into words — "for her, the trips to the library ... were life." If I can identify with a character as easily as I do with Sarah within the first few pages, I'm going to be hooked. I've always felt that books were magical, that they could draw a person into another world, and to find a book where a book is saying "read me now"? I can't wait to read more.
