"On the Saturday after her seventh birthday, a book spoke to Sarah
May Dove. If she’d been older, she might have been surprised or even
shocked, but as she was only seven and still a stubborn and devoted
believer in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny, she
didn’t even blink."

Seriously, the opening lines of this book not only set the tone for a book made of wonder and fairy tales, but it reminds me so much of Gaiman that I want to devour this whole book in one sitting.

Our basic pieces are there, a girl who can talk to books, and, through those books, she is going to encounter something extraordinary. According to the books, a new woman in town holds the key to saving the little sleepy town where our story is set. Does it happen? Do the two apparently opposite women become friends? So much is left up in the air!

Going into this book (AKA my impression from the cover) was that this was going to be some sort of cozy snuggly read where we have two women learning about life, love, and happiness. I am so happy to report that this is NOT the case at all and if the 50 first pages can indicate anything, its that this is going to be a fun, fantastical ride! Can't wait to read more!
