Books are magical. Books about people who love books are amazing. Books that feature books that speak to a book lover are perhaps the best thing ever. This concept is absolutely enchanting. We are introduced to the Dove sisters and quickly informed that something spellbinding is going on with this family. We also meet Grace and Hannah, two children being bounced around the foster system in 2001. We are introduced to all of the key players and then the story moves forward to 2019. I love when a story makes its way to present day and you pick it up with the expectation that you could start driving tomorrow and find your way to the charming town of Dove Pond. This story hits the Southern notes without hitting the reader over the head with strong accented dialogue and overly dramatic descriptions (I'm Southern and we own it, but you get a little tired of reading it from time to time).
I can't wait to see what the love interest for Grace ends up being. This story so far is just begging for a little romance. I know that we'll be meeting the other residents of this mysterious little town soon and I can already envision readers falling in love with these characters. This is the kind of book that most book lovers are going to connect with on a deep emotional level.
