I really liked this excerpt. It's perfect to keep the attention of a middle-grader while engaging them in some important historical fiction. I think this age group will enjoy the espionage theme and especially the funny, witty character of Lizzie. The writing style is very clever and engaging. I want read this book then pass it on to my grandchildren.
