This is definitely a winner for historical fiction for middle grade. A great addition to any middle school library, the switching POVs between Lizzie and Jakob offers an interesting look at World War II and at the central mysteries. It definitely will keep the interest of readers who may feel like historical fiction isn't accessible. Gotta love a good mystery and riddle!
