This book is definitely different from anything I've read. I feel like the beginning was very confusign to follow and I'm not sure if that's just because of my lack of understanding of the time period and religion, or the book doesn't do a good enough job of setting up the story. I was feeling for Fatima by the end of the first chapter though.
