The Bird King is a beautifully written glimpse into a historical fantasy world. I don't usually go in for historical fiction, but the cover is so beautiful and I liked the magical concept of the map maker so I decided to give this first look a try. The language and story flow so beautifully I felt like I was a part of the world, and once I started reading I wanted to never stop. I can't wait to find out what's next for Fatima and Hassan!
