First of all, The Bird King has a very beautiful and striking cover. The artwork is what first drew me to the book. After reading the sample pages I’m already intrigued with Fatima and Hassan’s story and eager to read on! I haven’t yet read historical fiction quite like The Bird King before—nor have I read a book that would be categorized as Muslim literature—and I’m excited to add this one to my TBR list!
