The idea in itself, a Muslim with fantastic powers fleeing from a political power that is threatened by both of those traits, would be enough in itself. But it was the relationship between Fatima and Hassan that stood out to me the most. Instead of a romance, Fatima states that the reasons she appreciates Hassan is because he doesn't desire her. It's the easy platonic friendship between the two, evident in the first few pages, that drew me in.

Admittedly, the cover doesn't jump out to me as much. I love the image in the center, but the extra borders on top and bottom, with the text, takes away from it.
