A concubine who lives a life of luxury dreams of freedom. From just this brief excerpt I like where this story is going and the setting of this novel. A novel set in the Middle East during the 1500s has me at the first page. Also the main character seems like a strong woman who won't be put down by her situation. I love a novel that has a strong female lead and one set in the past is right up my alley.
