Why did I wait so long to read this book?! I found this world to be so interesting. The Belles and their magic system was unique to me which made it even more interesting. As well as the Belles needing the leeches to replenish their Arcana. I enjoyed a lot of the characters, although I wish we would've gotten to learn more about the sisters in the beginning before they get to court. Sophia, just yikes. She added a lot of interesting dynamics. I liked August and was all for the romance, it seemed like he was often putting on a show acting cocky and I was hoping we would see a different side of him, but he went a crushed my hopes and dreams!
With all of these characters, I cannot wait to read The Everlasting Rose and see what happens to this story!
