Okay so I loved this book. I felt it was well written and engaging and is a good book for a range of ages. This was evidenced when I enjoyed reading it at the age of 21 and my 11 year old cousin also loved it after I lent her the book. Dhonnielle Clayton does a great job of painting a society that is obsessed with beauty and the darkness that hides beneath the surface. The book is amazingly detailed and descriptive making it very easy to imagine what this world would be like. I haven’t got a chance to read the sequel yet however it is sitting on my book shelf waiting to be read and will likely be popping up as a TBR sometime soon
