I won this book in a giveaway and to be honest, I knew nothing about it previous reading it, just a very vague synopsis.

The Belles is set in a dystopian world where Belles are revered because they control beauty, and Beauty is a commodity coveted above all else. In Orléans, the people are born gray, they are born damned, and only with the help of a Belle and her talents can they transform and be made beautiful.

The main character, Camellia is a Belle who strives to become the favorite of the Queen, I really liked her, she is loving, kind and smart over all, very inquisitive about the world around her.

There are several other characters, but it's easy to keep track of all of them. The world itself is very well described, very colorful and luxurious, it's very easy to imagine it all.

The plot is captivating and even thou it's slow at times because it's a bit repetitive in some parts, it still keeps you interested.

Overall, I found it pretty entertaining and I think I'll read the sequel.
