I read this book a while back abd it's not my typical genre but I really did enjoy it. So many dark and twisty parts to it. Camellia wants to be THE BELLE - the favorite that is chosen by the Queen. She wants to liv e in the palace and tnd to the royal family. However, once she arrives at the court, it's not all she thought it would be. She has the chance to save the princess, but at what cost to herself?
Any middle scool girl that is a fan of makeup will surely enjoy the storyline here. Heavy doses of fairy tale like aspects with palaces, beauty etc. The Belles are like the Glam Squad from Hunger Games ... their mission is to bring out your beauty and the Belles are masters at it.

This is book 1 in the series. I have not gone on to read either of the other two books; The Everlasting Rose (Book 2), or The Beauty Trials (Book 3) ... yet!
