This excerpt is stunning! I was immediately drawn in by the gorgeous, lush descriptions, which fit perfectly with the book. The world building is new and fascinating. I love the idea of a world controlled by beauty, and the Belles, who can manipulate it. Even in the first two chapters, this story feels living and vibrant. I am upset that I can't read more right now!
I love that the book cover has a black girl in a ballgown on it--I know how important that is. My only critique of the cover is that I feel like the title's color feels kind of flat and jarring. The cover is all pastel, and yet the title is kind of flat and without color. I think it would look better if it was gold, maybe? And just another tiny thing - I think the tagline " a revolution is here" is kind of hard to read?
