When I first read the description, I thought it was going to be a bit like Hunger Games in which beauty is twisted and has severe social consequences. I was quite wrong in that it resembles the Hunger Games, though it does delve into the world of beauty and shows it in a way I did not expect. I love how the author describes what "beautiful" is in the Orleans world and why it is viewed the way it is.
I believe that the more the reader gets pulled into the world of Orleans, the more complex and rich this story will get. I am very excited to continue reading this story and joining the journey of one of the Belles.
