The world building did slightly remind me of The Hunger Games, but apart from that, it's nothing that I've read before. Upon first impression, my only issue would have been the cover art, since most readers don't particularly enjoy people on the cover. But after reading what it's about, I think it fits perfectly with the story. Between the synopsis and the sample chapters, this is a definite addition to my TBR for the month of February.
