I was attracted by the cover for The Belles. I started reading the preview and, while I normally do not read young adult fiction - I'm 50 - I've read a couple in the last three months and was impressed. And I am impressed with The Belles so far.
The descriptions of the last in line arriving to her destination, is beautifully written. I was drawn in. In the midst of a resurgence for twists to fairy tale stories, this looks like it will be a satisfying read, even for adults.
