I do love a good mystery and I love it even more so when the writing is good. This is an example for good writing. There were a few run on sentences and I didn’t love that but it was so well written those could be ignored. I love the cover. It is bold and yet mysterious. It really grabbed my attention. It only took a few sentences for me to be totally engrossed in the story. There was a sense of anticipation. I wanted to know what was coming next and what had happened before. To write a sentence that keeps the reader guessing without being overly vague is no easy task. Yet here this author succeeds. I was given some interesting points to pay attention to and yet not enough to get a full picture of what was happening. I am always looking for a good mystery. So often these days mystery writers are trying to be like Agatha Christie or Louise Penny and yet here is something fresh.
