I liked this better than the first!
I would rate this one 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
This is one of those rare instances where I actually liked the second book of a series better than the first! Don't get me wrong, I loved Lavender House, but something about this one really sucked me in. Andy Mills is quickly becoming one of my favorite protagonists, and I've really grown attached to him as a character and his story.
As with the first book, there is some homophobic language that may be upsetting to some readers, so please know that going in. I commend Rosen for including it, as it was (and sadly still is) the reality of characters living in that time.
I did not see the ending coming, but I loved how everything wrapped up. I am pretty ecstatic to see that Detective Andy Mills' story continues with another book in the series!
Rosen has definitely cemented himself as an autobuy author for me!
