I love this world of a gay bar/gay detective in the 50's. That is a setting that is not normally done, at least in what I have read. I didn't realize this was the second book in the series, as I have never read Lavender House, but it seems like you maybe wouldn't have to. It seems like a really fun and intriguing book.
