A very atmospheric setting that contributed greatly to the shadowy yet calming mood of the book is what composed of my first thoughts. The premise of the story so far is very intriguing and easy to get into, with the reappearance of a former acquaintance coming to the main character for help. The design of the cover is very eye catching and immediately caught my interest. All in all, a very solid opening to what seems like a mystery filled entanglement of secrets and lies!
