I don't think there are a lot of gay historical mysteries. The only thing I can think of is the spinoff of the "Outlander" books, and even those are only considered "queer" due to the sexuality of the main character. Therefore, I think Lev Rosen is breaking new ground with this book, and I am excited to see where this goes.
