Intriguing Characters, Strong Sense of Place
I enjoyed Lavender House, the first Andy Mills mystery, and am pleased to see there's a second. The striking cover design instantly connected the two books in the series.
Lev A.C. Rosen creates a strong sense of place in these first two chapters. I could picture Elsie's nightclub and Andy's office and apartment vividly. And San Francisco in the 1950s is an interesting setting.
I'd love to read more of The Bell in the Fog to see how things turn out for Andy, Gene, and James.
