Celine Rosseau sails to the French Quarter of New Orleans under mysterious circumstances. She befriends two fellow women looking to change their lives. Living in a covenent, Celine feels out of place. A daughter of a linguist, she comes from menial means, but when the Ghost "fantôme" appears, she is worried she'll hurt him. And when young women begin dying of mysterious circumstances, Celine's draw to Sébastien Saint Germain and La Cour des Lions, it's no longer just dangerous for her, but for her new friends.
The plot so far seems interesting, and I really love the setting of the French Quarter of New Orleans. I'm not entirely sure where The Beautiful is leading, but I'm definitely intrigued!
